SHALL WE TRAVEL WITH THEM?

Carolina and Pedro are a couple from Vila do Conde - Portugal, and traveling is their passion. In 2017 they bought their Pingu (a VW T3 Westfalia California) and since then they see everyday as an opportunity to get to know a little more of Portugal. Whenever they have a day, they take Pingu and leave! When they have 2 days, they drive further!

Until then Carolina and Pedro’s jobs didn't allow higher "flights" but they decided that 2019 would be the year of change:

On April 1 st they started their 6 month road trip. In the next posts, we will follow their journey through Europe in a van.

WHO IS PINGU?

Pingu is a Volkswagen T3 California Westfalia Vanagon from 1990. It is originally a motorhome and has capacity for 4 people. At the back, in the bedroom area, there are two beds, one at the bottom folding down the sofa and the other at the top raising the pop up ceiling. When the ceiling is raised, they are able to walk standing inside, which makes everything much easier. It also has a wardrobe and other closets with shelves for storage. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator and a gas-fired stove, dishwasher, cupboards and drawers.

WHY IS IT CALLED PINGU?

Carolina and Pedro always loved penguins. They are super nice animals, who have the particularity of choosing a companion and staying with it all their lives... So they immediately identified with them and when they saw Pingu, being black and white, they had no doubt about the name they would choose for it.
